Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

Majora's Mask

This walkthrough was written entirely by Matthew "Angry Midget" Emmons, unless someone else is noted in the thanks below. Now, I'm writing this for the Gamecube version, so just replace "L" target with Z, and any other buttons I forgot that switched. This is my first walkthrough, but also one of the best ever for this game, due to the fact that I am the best at this game. I'm also not one of those stupid pieces of crap who have 100KB of opinions, and a goddamn "blog" inside their walkthrough, or 7 fuckin' images made out of slashes, underscores, hyphens, periods, etc because those walkthroughs are just made to have a big filesize so they look good, but are totally useless. That being said, enjoy the best Majora's Mask walkthrough in the universe.

Thanks to:
Pyh: For his video which showed me the quick way for Snowhead, and getting to Ikana Canyon without the Garo's Mask.

The Basics 1.0

Ah yes, the bare basics of the game that any dolt should be able to figure out, especially a dolt with an instruction booklet. Whatever. Here are the controls:

Control Stick - This nifty little stick moves you around, moves the selection thing to choose different weapons or items.

B - B is the all-purpose cancel button. Any game system that has a B button, and a cancel option, B is it. B is also draw your sword, or in the case of Deku Link, blow a bubble, Zora - attack, or Goron - attack. Good to know how to hit things, isn't it?

A - A is select something, confirm, etc. It's also used for pushing/pulling things, and performing various acrobatic techniques.

The C Stick - The C stick has a number of uses. UpC (here on out referred to as ^) is for talking to your farie, whenever she has advice. If she doesn't have any advice, then it can be used for looking around with a first person view. LeftC (<) RightC (>) and DownC (V) are for using your various C items. More on setting them to C later. They are also used for playing notes on your Ocarina (see Songs 6.9 for a list of songs).

R - R is sheild, whatever form you are in, R is sheild.

X, Y, Z. X Y and Z are the same as > < and V, respectively.

Start - Start is a necessity. It allows you to pause your game when you have to. During this time, the game clock (see later) will not move. While the game is paused you can look at the dungeon map (if you've collected it), the world map, your status subscreen or your items.

The Status Subscreen - This screen, located in the Start menu, shows how many pieces of heart you've collected, the sword and sheild you're using, the songs you've gotten, and the like. It also has the Bombers Notebook (more on that later)

Items Screen - This screen, in the Start menu, shows what items you have, and how many. To set an item to C, simply move the cursor over it, and push whatever C button you want it to be set to. For things like the Ice or Fire Arrows, you must set the magic arrow to C, not the bow, and select when the arrow in nocked (like in the Wind Waker).

The Bomber's Notebook - The Bomber's Notebook, obtained after you become human again, is a log of all the people you have promised to help. It has a schedule of the three days, and shows whether you promised to help someone (and the time), whether you recieved an item, and whether you recieved a mask from them. It's pretty useful to be able to keep track of all your side-quests.

Masks - There are 24 different masks in the game, each with a different use. Some are extremely useful, almost necessary (Stone Mask), some are useless (Circus Leader's Mask) and some are extremely hard to get, and unnecessarily complex (Couple's Mask). There are only 23 masks that can be found on Earth though. . .

The Many Forms of Link 1.01

Throughout the game, there are 5 forms you can take.

Human Link - Requirements - Song of Healing (yes, there are requirements to be a human, which you do not meet at the beginning of the game).

Weaknesses - None
Resistances - This isn't Pokemon, no forms of Link are resistant to anything, except Goron Link. He's a Pokemon now.

Moves - B - Sword slash - good for hitting things.

L target + A (with sword drawn) - Jump attack. This is twice as powerful than your garden-variety slash, but it takes a bit of time to get back up. Only suggested against Iron Knuckles, Captain Keeta, or when you'll one-hit something.

L target + control stick back + A - Backflip - A fun maneuver, this is mainly just for show, but WILL save your life against the Iron Knuckle.

L target + Control Stick side + A - Side Jump - This is best used against the Iron Knuckle, not much else.

Control Stick Up + A - Roll - This is for when you've got to get somewhere fast, but still be a human (otherwise use Goron roll or Deku Spin.)

Deku Link - Requirements - None

Weaknesses - Fire, due to the fact that he is a plant. Also, falling from high places.

Moves - A - Spin. This nifty little trick can be used to stun stronger enemies (like the Master Garo), or kill weak ones (like a swarm of Black Boes). Also, it can be used as a faster mode of transportation (when compared to Link's running)

B - Blow Bubble. This uses magic, hold B for a bigger bubble, but don't let it pop or it'll go to waste. It's only function is to pop the balloon near the beginning of the game, and get your Ocarina back. It's useful against the Hiploops in Woodfall, but as soon as you have the Hero's Bow, it'll never be used again.

Control Stick Up at Water - Water Hop. This is actually useful, especially in the Great Bay Temple (you'll find out why later). When Deku Link goes into water, he gets 5 jumps, and then, if he's not hit land yet, he sinks and you're transported back to the place where you first hopped onto the water.

A on a Deku Flower - Fly Around. You'll find Pink (and sometimes gold) Deku Flowers scattered across Termina. Hit A on one and you'll burrow in. Once you see a puff of dust emerge from your submerged Deku Scrub, release A and you'll blast out, and be able to fly around for a short while. The controls while flying are quite sketchy, due to the fact that you fly by tilting flowers above your head.

Goron Link AKA Darmani - Requirements - Lens of Truth
Weaknesses - Goron Link is big, and fat, and made of rocks, so he can't handle deep water or falling from heights.

Moves - A - Curl. Curling is fun as Goron Link, and allows you to do some neat stuff.

A + Control Stick - Roll. Curl up and tilt the control stick in any direction and you'll start rolling. If you roll for long enough, you'll get spikes, allowing you to damage things. This takes magic power, and is not suggested. Stop holding the control stick and you'll continue rolling, but lose your orange border (a signal that you're getting close to spikes), only let go for a second, then continue holding up if you want to keep rolling.

A + B - Goron Pound. If you hit B while curled, you will jump up in the air, and come down with considerable force, pushing down heavy switches, or crushing enemies.

Control Stick on Lava - Goron Link has the ability to walk around on lava, taking about 5x as long to be hurt by it than regular Link.

Zora Link AKA Mikau - Requirements - Epona (or the Goron Mask, bombs, and skill)
Weaknesses - Mikau is from the water, and therefore weak to both fire and ice. Either one will send him back to the start of the area.

Moves - Hold B - Boomerang Fins. If you hold B, you will enter a first person view, much like using the bow. When you release B, you will send your fins out at whereever you pointed them.

A in water - Swim. Mikau can swim VERY fast and well, just press and hold A in the water.

Control Stick Down, then Control Stick Up while swimming - Dolphin Jump. If you dive down into water, then resurface quickly, Mikau will jump out of the water, useful for getting onto platforms without climbing, when time is of the essence (Gyorg battle).

B in Water - Dive. This lets you drop into the water straight down to the bottom.

A while dove - Rise. This will make you rise back up to the surface.

Fierce Deity Link AKA Oni Link
Weaknesses - NONE!

Fierce Deity Link, or Oni Link (Oni being the Japanese word for demon - signifying that the kid wearing Majora's Mask with the "lets play good guys against bad guys, you be the bad guy, I'll be the good guy" sees himself [or the Mask sees itself?] as doing good) is a total badass. He's basically a bit bigger than Adult Link, wears white, has a huge sword, and it fires lasers.

Moves - Same as Link. If you L target something and press B, you'll do the same slash, but you'll shoot a laser that does incredible damage (about 3 will kill Gyorg) but takes magic power every time you fire it.

You're probably thinking, "wow, why would anyone play as anything but that?" Well, the Fierce Deity Mask can only be used in boss battles. Unless you use a certain glitch . . .

The Story 1.1

The game kicks off with our hero, Link who goes off on a journey to find an invaluable friend (Navi from Ocarina of Time), but he gets lost in the Lost Woods. He pauses for a second, and while he isn't looking, a couple faries pop out and scare Epona, causing her to throw Link off her back, knocking him out. When he comes to, a skull kid with a weird mask on is raiding his backpack, and steals his ocarina (along with his bow, and basically everything else from the first game, though he's too much of a ninja for it to show. See a small flicker on your set? That was Skull Kid stealing everything else). When Skull Kid notices Link is awake, he jumps on Epona and rides away, holding Link's ocarina. Link grabs onto Epona, but falls off. This is where the game starts up.

Just go in a straight line, hop on the stumps when necessary, and make sure to hit B to attack some of the bushes - you'll need the money that comes out. After a couple areas, you'll find yourself at yet another cutscene.

Skull Kid is laying down, like he's on a couch, but he's floating, it becomes immediately obvious that Majora's Mask (the mask he's wearing) is powerful. Some more text comes, Skull Kid got rid of Epona, and then he wiggles his head, there's some weird music, and Link turns into a Deku scrub. Skull Kid and the purple farie, Tael, float away through a door, but Tatl comes back to smack Link, and because of this, she gets locked out. She orders you to open the door.

Just open the door with A., go through some more stuff that's explained, and eventually you'll find yourself on the other side of a door that will never open again. Just go up the stairs and you'll see the Happy Mask Salesman, talk to him, or start to go up towards the large wooden doors, and he'll ramble on about how you need "the item which was stolen from you" to return to your normal self. Go through the large wooden doors.

Welcome to Clock Town 1.2

You have 72 game hours before the moon falls, 1 hour passes every minute, so you've got a little over an hour before you die a horrible death. All you have to do is go to the laundry pool (Go up, then to your right, you should see a small kid with purple hair walk in or out of it, that's the place. Go up the stairs and through. If it's still daytime, like it should be (unless you just started this walkthrough, and already had a game going) there should be a farie hovering over the pond. You can only jump when you go over a ledge, so just run at it, you'll jump, you'll get the farie. If it's nighttime, then the farie will be in East Clock Town, just go right from where you came out (the big wooden doors) and you'll see it. Now, exit that place, and go to the north (complete opposite direction of the guard defending an entrance with a strange oval above it). It should now say you're in North Clock Town.

First, go to the left, you'll see a cave entrance at the top of a slope, go in. This is the Great Farie Fountain, the farie you got earlier will exit you and join the cloud of other fairies, forming a gigantic fairie with tits sharp enough you could cut a steak. She'll give you magic power, and explain how it works. Now, exit the fountain, and talk to Tingle, he's the weird guy in green spandex, with red underwear outside his pants. If he's up on his balloon, shoot him down with your newly aquired bubble technique. You should've gotten at least 5 rupees from bushes and chests by now, so buy a Clock Town map - it'll serve you well, seeing as how I'm not giving you exact directions inside Clock Town anymore. Next, shoot down the large balloon with a picture of Majora's Mask on it, and the kid'll start looking for the guy who hit it. Talk to him, you'll find that he's the leader of the Bombers. You'll have until sunrise to find all five of them to get their code and yes, this is actually necessary.

The first one is behind the big tree in North Clock Town, he'll run when he sees you, but they can't leave the area, so just corner him. The next one is walking around North Clock Town too, so grab him. Now, head to East Clock Town, one'll jump off a roof as soon as you're under it, so hit him. Now, climb the stairs until you get on top of a building, there'll be a Bomber holding a chicken (in these games they're called Cuccos), so just jump off the roof (hold up to do a roll at the bottom to A:gain more speed, and B: not get hurt. Finally, head to West Clock Town, there's a Bomber just wandering around smack him and you'll hear the victory music (da-da-da-naaa). You'll be back in North Clock Town, and the Bombers will say you can't join because you're not human, but they can give you the code to their hideout in East Clock Town. They'll turn around, revealing the code, write it down, or remember it (mine's 35124) because you'll need it later.

Now, yup, you guessed it (or you didn't, or you wouldn't need a walkthrough this early in the game) head to East Clock Town and tell the kid the code to get in. Take the right path, and use your water hop to jump along the different platforms. Along the long one, there is a Skulltulla, don't get killed yet. Go around it, or kill it, and head up. Keep going and you'll find yourself in the Astral Observatory. Just go up the stairs and you'll see a guy at a telescope. Just ask the guy to look through his telescope, and he'll let you. Look at the Clock Tower, and you'll see Skull Kid on top waggling his ass at you, and pointing to the moon. If you hadn't already guessed it, Majora's Mask is why the moon is falling. You'll also see something come out of the moon's eye, and crash at the bottom of the observatory. Hit B to stop looking, and the weird guy'll tell you it's a Moon's Tear. Go through the door, grab it, and exit the hideout the same way you came. Now, go to South Clock Town, if you had clumsily run into the gold flower near the Clock Tower, you'll remember the Deku stopped you from using it, if not, go try to touch the flower so he'll come. Go talk to him, and he'll say he wants something for his wife, hit start (unless the moon's tear is already set to C) and set it to a C button, then offer it to him. He'll take your jewel, and give you his house and land in return . . . smart. Anyway, now just go in the gold flower, and launch yourself over to the southwest of the clock tower, and you'll see a pillar with a chest on top. Don't worry if you don't make it this time, just line yourself up and try again. Grab the 50 rupees out of the chest. Now, go to West Clock Town, and talk to the guy patting his knees. He'll ask you if you want to open an account, say yes, and deposit all your rupees. Now, take that land title deed, and go to the Stock Pot Inn (unless it is past 8PM on the final day, in which case, skip this step). The Stock Pot Inn's in East Clock Town, it's got a sign, you shouldn't miss it. Go in, and go right, into the hall. Go left into the first door, and there should be a sickly looking arm poking up from the toilet hole asking for paper, offer it the Land Title Deed, (or, if you're later in the game, any piece of paper, like a letter) and you'll get a Piece of Heart. Now, use that golden flower again, this time to get up to the platform of the Clock Tower. Grab the Piece of Heart, and go take a shit or something, because you have to wait until 12 midnight on the third day to proceed.

Atop the Clock Tower 1.3

Now, I'll assume it's midnight on the third day, there'll be a cutscene of the Clock Tower opening, and the wall in front of you will turn into stairs. Take them, you'll be on the top with Skull Kid looking at you. More cutscene, dialogue that would be important if you didn't have me telling you what to do. Now, just hit Skull Kid with a single bubble, if you suck, and run out of magic, just refil with one of the many green jars across the top of the Clock Tower. Once you hit him, he'll drop your Ocarina, go grab it, you'll have a flashback of Zelda teaching you the Song of Time. Play it, you'll be back to Dawn of the First Day. You will lose any bulk items you have (deku nuts, arrows, etc.) but will keep anything important (your ocarina, your bow, which you get later, etc.) You also lose all rupees you had in your pocket, which is why you should've used the bank like I told you to. Use this whenever you feel you have to (NOT in the middle of a dungeon or you will lose all progress made in said dungeon), this guide will not tell you at what points you must play it. Now, about the Song of Time, it has three versions - the Song of Time, >VA>VA, the Song of Double Time >>VVAA, which puts time ahead by 12 hours, useful if there's something that can only be done at night or in the daytime, or when waiting for things like the Clock Tower, and the Inverted Song of Time - AV>AV> - which slows down time, VERY useful, and I suggest you play it at the beginning of each three day period. You can play it again to return the flow of time to normal.

Back to Human 1.4

Also, at the beginning of every 3-Day segment, you should teach the scarecrow in the Trading Post a song, trust me, it'll help. Now, Tatl will realize that everything has started over, just go back through those big wooden doors, and you'll pass a quick cutscene. Now, you learn the Song of Healing, which will get you a lot of useful masks later. After that, is a rather long cutscene, in which the Happy Mask Salesman goes on a tirade about the evil contained in the mask, and how the world will end if you don't return it. Bo-ring! Let's go kill things! Exit the big wooden doors again, and go up the ramp and head to West Clock Town, on the way, slash the owl statue with your sword, it'll benefit you later. Now, go to the bank, withdraw 50 rupees and use them to buy a bomb bag from the bomb shop across the path (it's got a bomb sign beside it, you can't miss it.) Now, go through that exit the guard was blocking before in South Clock Town. Now that you're a human, he'll realize you're able to take care of yourself, and he'll let you pass. You are now in Termina Field.

Termina 1.5

Just keep going straight, and you'll see an exit beside a big tree with a strange carving. Tatl will stop you and start talking about how she and her brother, Tael, carved that with Skull Kid when they first met him. She'll talk about how he also robbed the Mask Salesman. Now, just keep going, walk past everything until you come to a big, black tree on your right. If you have to, shoot down the bats with your bubbles, then climb up it and grab the heart piece at the top. Climb down and continue onward. After some more walking, you'll come to the Southern Swamp.

Southern Swamp 1.6

First thing's first, hit the owl statue on the right with your sword. Ignore the building for now, go back later. Next, go to the left and take the path next to the sign which says "Magic Hag's Potion Shop Ahead", slashing grass and killing the Deku Babas as you go, taking their treasure. When you come to the potion shop, you'll see a large building shaped like a bottle or jar atop a little perch, ignore it for now. Enter the "Woods of Mystery" next to the sign. You'll see a monkey, but forget the monkey, just go left, right, up, right, left, left and you'll see Koume laying on the ground. Talk to her as human Link, and she'll blab about Skull Kid. Exit the woods, and go in the potion shop. Talk to Kotake at the counter, and she'll give you a red potion to take to Koume, take the same path, give it to her with C, and she'll be replenished. Go back to the first building you saw in the Southern Swamp (the hut you ignored at first) and go to the right. You'll see Koume's face through a black square, she'll thank you, and give you a free Pictograph Box, and a ride on the boat tour. While on the boat, grab a picture of the Big Octo (the big thingie blocking the tunnel) before it gets killed by the boat. When the boat arrives at the Deku Palace, get off, switch to Deku Link, and enter. The guards tell you to go to the Royal Chamber ONLY, but hey, when has Link been one to comply to the rules? Go to the left room for a Piece of Heart, or the right room to finish up. Either way, just go through and don't get caught. Even if you do get caught, it's not a big deal (unless you're speed-running), you can be caught as many times as you want. It's a very straightforward path, you just have to plan the movements of the guards. Once you've finished the right path, you'll see a hole, jump in. Down one path will be some water, down another will be a fat guy eating beans. Talk to the fat guy. Take your one free sample bean, and grab some water in your empty bottle (the one you got the red potion in). Now, leave. Get caught by a guard, trust me, it's quicker. You're now back at the entrance of the palace. Facing the guards, go right, and hop along the lilypads. Keep going until you hit the end of the pads. Plant your bean in the soft soil, and put the water on it, it'll grow instantly. Hop on, and it'll lift you up. Now, you have to be good with the flowers. If you want to play it safe, shoot the Mad Scrubs with bubbles and then use their flowers, if you're already good with flowers (REALLY good) then ignore the scrubs and just keep going. After a few flowers travel, you'll find yourself in the Royal Chamber, but inside with the monkey (which is about to be killed for kidnapping the princess). Hear the monkey out, and then take out your ocarina as a Deku, and Tatl will notice that you now have Deku Pipes. The monkey will teach you the Sonata of Awakening. Then, the guards will find you and kick you out. Go right again, but this time, hop onto the first patch of land you see, and hop in the flower. Blast up, and go through the opening. You're now in Woodfall.

Southern Swamp (cont) and Woodfall 1.7

It's a straightforward path, just blast out of the flowers and into the next ones. beware of the dragonflies, they'll hit you, then, often, make you fall into the poison swamp. Hit them with bubbles, or even better, block with your sheild, then slice with your sword (conserves magic power). Now, you'll see a strange block with an owl above it, yes, it's the same owl from Ocarina of Time, but he's much more helpful, and less frequently encountered. Now you learn the Song of Soaring. This is the most useful song you'll ever learn for regular play (not the specialty things that are necessary, but only used once). Keep going, and head through the next entrance. You're now in Woodfall. Just keep going, soon you'll be walking along some narrow paths with large beetles along them. Don't try to block these with your sheild, just hit them in the face with bubbles. Go from strip to strip of these until finally you'll be on a large platform with some jars, and owl stature, and a weird symbol. Hit the owl statue, grab the goodies from the pots, including bottling the farie from the one in the middle (just swipe with your bottle at it). Play the Sonata of Awakening on your Deku Pipes while standing on the special symbol on the platform, and the Woodfall Temple will rise out of the water.

Woodfall Temple 1.8

Now, I will not explain how to get temple faries (until I remember how to get them all myself) or the compass/dungeon map, because they aren't necessary. The dungeon guides are simply to get in, kick ass, and get out.

First, go to the left, hop in the flower, go all the way to the right and you'll see another flower, land on it, hop in, head straight ahead and land in that flower. Go straight ahead for the platform, but aim for the middle! There is a skulltulla on either side of the platform, and monsters at the bottom.

Go through the door, and you'll be in a room with several doors and a poison swamp at the bottom. Spin off the right side, and water hop to the door, go in. You'll be in another similar room, hop to the middle, go in the flower, and launch yourself to the left, to the chest. Now, hop back through the door. Back in the room you were in before, simply hop between the weird flowers, don't stay on them too long, or they'll close on you, and go through the locked door straight ahead.

Now, water hop to the left, and land on the bridge, push the block straight ahead one square. Now, go over to the torch, watch out for the skulltulla that drops. Light a Deku stick on the torch, and run back the way you came, then go left, and you'll be able to light another torch. Pull out your sword to extinguish the Deku stick, and whip it out again, light it, run up the stairs and light the next torch. Again, use your sword to extinguish the stick (it doesn't have enough time to light two torches in one go) whip it out, jump across the platforms and light the spider web on fire. Proceed.

Here, Tatl will "sense a lot of evil" by this, she means the Black Boes, a swarm of stupid little black things. Deku spin up to the torch, to kill the Boes as you go, then light a Deku stick on it. Go to the right, and light the torch, then go left to find another, and finally to the door in the middle and light the torch beside it, opening the door.

You're in another Deku Scrub place, just hop from flower to flower (they move this time, like in the Deku Palace) and watch out for the dragonflies, kill them the same way you'd kill them regularily.

Here's where things get easy, just go straight, ignore the switch for now, and go through the door. Now, go left, and through the next door. Time for the first mini-boss.

Dinolfos - This guy could not be more easy! As regular Link, throw a Deku Nut, then jump attack him with a Deku Stick (it has to be a jump attack) as soon as you hit him, switch to Deku Link, and he'll die, fun glitch. If you want to play fair, just spin into him as Deku Link, and he'll be stunned, then slice him with your sword, and repeat. If you want a challenge or hate using Deku Link no matter how smart it is, wait until he's about to attack (sword raised) and hit him. This method takes longer, and is dumb. After he dies he'll drop the Hero's Bow.

Leave the room, burrow into the flower, and land on the flower in the middle of the room. Now, shoot the eye with your new bow. This will get the platform moving up and down, now, burrow into the flower, and launch, land on the platform above the eye. Enter the door.

Next miniboss - the Gekko. Slice him a couple times with your sword, and he'll call his buddy - one of those turtles that sound like they're saying "cat crap". It'll spin around, don't even try and hit it yet, burrow into a flower, wait until it goes over you, then launch out to hit its underside. Gekko will fall off his turtle, and scamper up a wall L target him while you can still see him. Just hit him with the bow, he'll hop back on his turtle, repeat until he dies. Go through the door that it opens, and take the boss key, then go back.

Hop in the flower and go to the room on the upper right, remember? You've been here before. Now it's time to hit that switch. A few ladders will appear. Send an arrow through the torch in the middle of the flower thing, and hit the one behind it, setting it on fire. Now the flower will open up. Go to the right, and hop onto the flower as it spins. Find the torch next to a switch, and put an arrow through the torch on the flower, into it. This may take a few tries. Go through the door that just opened up.

Go down, hopping to the right until you come to a Deku flower. Shoot the switch with an arrow, then hop inside the flower and launch onto the platform that just stopped being on fire. Then, use that flower to get to the boss door.

Masked Jungle Warrior - Odalwa 1.9

This guy is awesome, but easy. He jumps around, sings, dances, and slashes you with a sword almost as big as he is. Just shoot him with an arrow (don't L target) and he'll be stunned, run up to him, L target and keep jump attacking him. The jump attacks will keep him stunned the whole time. After a while, he'll die. If he keeps blocking your arrows, run up to him and start slashing at his feet, blocking the huge sword.

After Odalwa 2.0

Now, just grab the heart container, head into the blue light. Now you'll get a HUGE cutscene, learn Oath to Order, which you won't need until the end of the game. Now, once the cutscene is done, slash the vines in front of you and you'll find the Deku Princess, she'll blabber on for a while, then catch her in a bottle, yes, you put someone bigger than you in a bottle. Go back to the deku palace (you should be able to see it from the Swamp entrance to Woodfall) go to the King's chamber, and release the girl. She'll stomp her father for a while, then you get a nice prize, but you have to work for it. Facing where the guards would be, at the entrance of the Palace, go left, and you'll find the Deku Butler. Just keep up to him, don't touch the fire as a Scrub, it's easy enough, but may take a couple tries, at the end, you get the Mask of Scents. Hoo-ray. It doesn't seem like much, but it'll make the final boss a whole lot easier.

Road to Snowhead 2.1

Next, go to Clock Town with the Song of Soaring, and Tatl will tell you to go north for Snowhead. So head over there, now, if it is at midnight or later, on any day go to the mushroom shaped rocks, and you'll hear some strange music. Look on them, and you'll see a strange man dancing. Talk to him, then play the Song of Healing, and you'll get Kamaro's Mask, hit B while using it to dance. Use it in front of the twins in West Clock Town to get a heart piece.

Continue on north, and you'll see two blocks of ice. So, how to break them? Look up. You'll see a chunk of ice above them. Shoot it a couple times with arrows and it'll fall and shatter the ice blocks. Keep going north, use bombs to smash any large snowballs. Eventually, you'll come to a frozen over mountain villiage. Whack the owl statue and continue on. Soon enough you'll come to a Goron Villiage.

Have the freezing Goron open it up for you, go in and there'll be a Goron baby sobbing for his dad, you can't do anything about it at the moment. Leave the building, and walk around the building, you'll see that damn owl again. It'll fly over to the cave, leaving a few feathers behind. Just jump over to it, hopping on the invisible blocks, marked by the owl's feathers. You'll get the Lens of Truth from a chest, now leave.

When using the Lens, hit the C button rapidly. It'll allow you to keep seeing invisible things, and won't take magic. Warp back to the mountain villiage, and go left. There'll be a little pond with frozen blocks. As Deku Link, hop across them, and use the Lens. You'll be able to climb up a long ladder. When you finally reach the top, go in the cave. Now, use the Lens, and you'll see a Goron ghost. Play the Song of Healing for him, and you'll recieve the Goron Mask. Wear it, and pull on the grave, and it'll allow hot spring water to pour in.

Catch some in a bottle, turn into a Goron, and start rolling. Hit A to curl up, hit B to Goron pound (for smashing down big switches or opening the Goron Villiage building), hold up on the control stick to roll. Once you turn all spiky, you'll be able to smash things, but it takes magic. Stop holding the control stick to cease being spiky (you'll get an orange ring around you when you roll, the bigger it is, the closer you are to being spiky, unless you are speed running, spikiness is not suggested.) Roll off the edge, and go down the path toward the Goron Villiage. Smash the snowball on the left closest to the entrance to the villiage, it should reveal a frozen Goron, otherwise, continue smashing snowballs until you find the right one. Pour the hot water on him and talk to him. He should teach you the Goron Lullaby Intro. Now, go to the Goron Villiage, Goron Pound at the entrance to open it. Play the Goron Lullaby Intro for the Goron baby, and he'll teach you the last part, then fall asleep.

Now, a torch at the bottom should light, use a Deku stick to light the rest of the torches, and the chandelier should start spinning. From the baby's chamber, start rolling, make sure you get to a spiky roll, and smash each piece of the chandelier until a stony chunk of meat falls out. Carry this with you back to the mountain villiage. Throw it up to the frozen Goron wearing a weird frog hat. It'll roll down, and give you the Don Gero's mask.

Now, head to Snowhead. Use Goron roll to jump over the different gaps, and try not to get hit in the face by the huge snowballs. Once you reach Snowhead, hit the owl statue, and prepare for one annoying temple.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, you do NOT have to do this temple the hard way. If wish, you can use the Song of Time, get the hookshot first (more on that later) then you can finish the temple in 8 minutes easily, but you'll have to beat this, and the Pirates Fortress in the same cycle if you really want to save time - unless you really hate the Snowhead Temple, and don't mind spending a little extra time somewhere a little less annoying.

Snowhead Temple 2.2

Use the Goron Lullaby to put the giant Goron to sleep, then you can roll up the slope, ignore the White Wolfoses, roll, or run up the winding path, avoiding the snowballs as you go, then enter the temple.

Run up, smash the icicles, and push the block. Go through the door on the right, then line yourself up, and roll across the bridge. Go left, through the door, then straight through the door with the yellow border. On the left, pull the double block out, and take the small key behind it, then exit. NOW HERE'S WHERE IT VARIES. You can either:

Variable 1 2.3

If you have the hookshot, go to the right, to the frozen block with the red border. Now play the Scarecrow's Song (you DID teach the scarecrow a song in the trading post at the beginning of the 3-Day segment, right?). Look up, and to the left, you'll see it dancing. Hookshot it, and it'll pull you up. Then, hookshot the torch (barely visible). Roll across and jump the large gap. Enter the door, and prepare for another miniboss

Wizrobe - There are some squares on the ground, all you have to do is find which one he'll come out of (it's pretty obvious) run up, and Goron punch him. After a couple hits, he'll duplicate himself many times, but only the real one will stay still, the rest will run around. Go up and punch him.

Roll back across the gap, and look on the side. There's a small net, with a little snow part that you can go across. Or, just run in the net, and climb the ladder, then go through the door. Melt the block of ice with your new fire arrows and keep going. On the right there's another snow part, roll across it and go through the locked door. Melt the block of ice across from you, and go through the passage. Roll ahead, and go through the door on the left.

This part requires some precision. Go to the edge of the platform, look down, and on the right, you'll see a little tunnel filled with those stupid huge snowballs. Hit the first one with a fire arrow. Now, jump down at it on an angle, L target, and use a jump attack. With skill, you'll make it. Now roll across the gap, and face the end of the platform again. Look down and to the left and there'll be a door with a green-ish border and icicles beside it. Enter.

Wizrobe 2 - Same as before, but with more squares. Shoot him with Fire Arrows. When he's dead, go through the door that just opened up get the Boss Key, and leave the room. Go back to where you entered for the Wizrobe fight and use the same strategy for the snowball tunnel. Roll across to the Boss Door.

Variation 2 2.4

You've already gone up, pushed the block, gone through the right door, rolled across the bridge, gone left and through the door. Gone straight, through the yellow bordered door, pulled out the block, taken the small key.

Go to the beginning of the temple, go left, to the locked door. Go straight, blow up the wall, and keep going. Shoot the ice chunks on the top to get rid of the large blocks. Hop across them, and smash the large snowball for a small key. Now open the locked door. Pound the small yellow switch, turn into human, hop across, and smash down the small green switch. Now pound the large yellow switch in the pit, hop onto the green one, up to the main part and through the door. Roll across the gap, and over the snow patch to the right, then across the gap to fight Wizrobe.

Wizrobe - There are some squares on the ground, all you have to do is find which one he'll come out of (it's pretty obvious) run up, and Goron punch him. After a couple hits, he'll duplicate himself many times, but only the real one will stay still, the rest will run around. Go up and punch him.

Go back to the start of the temple, push the block, melt the ice on the door in front of you (red border) then melt the ice around the green border door. Hit the three torches with fire arrows and go through the door that opens up, goron pound the switch. Now, go back and drop down. Go to the left and go through the grey border door. Go straight and up the stairs. Go through the blue bordered door beside you. Get rid of the Freezards and take the key. Hop across the gap and go up the stairs. Melt the Freezard, and then hit the icey eye with a fire arrow, jump onto the ledge and through the door.

Now, roll around the edge and melt the ice block, go up the stairs. Roll around the right and open the locked door. Unblock the frozen stairs with a fire arrow, and go through. Go up and left, through the door. Go across the top of the pillar and to Wizrobe for the Boss Key.

Now go to the right and drop down, land in the little net. Climb the ladder and punch out the two discs. Turn around and go up the stairs. Roll around the right and knock out the next two blocks. Roll back around, go across the top of the pillar, knock out the snowballs, roll across the gap, and go into the boss room.

Masked Mechanical Monster - Goht 2.5

Shoot the frozen robot with a fire arrow and he'll start running around in a circle. Now, turn into a Goron, and roll (you have to get spiky) to chase him. Once you're spiky, just run into him enough and you'll hurt him. He'll make assorted attempts at hurting you, including chucking bombs, making stalactites (stalagmites?) fall from the ceiling to hurt, and block you. He'll also shoot lightning at you. Just ignore these and keep whacking him. Hit the green jars to refill your magic power. After a bit, he'll fall down, and you can beat the crap out of him. Grab the heart container, and walk into the blue light. More cutscenes.

After Goht 2.6

For this, I would suggest playing the Song of Time, then beating Goht again (just step on the grey patch at the start of the temple to be instantly transported to the boss). Now, you get powder keg certified. Go to the Goron Villiage, and find a large cave entrance (it was blocked by ice before). Go in, and you'll find a huge Goron. He'll make a powder keg fall down, grab it. Beware, it's lit. You have plenty of time to get where you want to go, but if you dawdle, you fail (you can try as many times as you need, don't worry). Just go to the Mountain Villiage, but stop when you're close. You'll see a few slopes and a huge boulder at the top. Just throw it up each one, and leave it near the boulder.

You are now at the Goron Racetrack. As long as you're good at Goron rolling, you'll be fine. It's just a simple race, there are plenty of magic jars to keep your spikiness up, but don't let the other Gorons hit you too badly. When you win, you'll get Gold Dust, if you lose, you try again. Now, if you're good, it should still be the first day. Now go to the Mountain Smithy, pay 100 rupees to get your sword upgraded. Use the Song of Double Time to make it go faster. On the second day, give Zubora the Gold Dust and he'll upgrade your sword again. You now have the Gilded Sword - best sword in the game (that you can use with B) and unlike the Razor Sword, you won't lose it with the Song of Time. Now, use the Song of Time.

Getting Epona 2.7

For Epona, simply buy a powder keg from the Goron in the bomb shop (now that you're certified), then head toward the swamp, but go right instead, and go under the bridge. You're now in Milk Road, hit the owl statue. Use the powder keg on the giant boulder, and go up to the barn and talk to the small girl (Romani). There'll be a cutscene when you see that Epona is in their stable. Romani will ask you to help her, just shoot the balloons around the ranch with your bow while riding around on Epona, she'll also teach you Epona's Song. Wait until 2:30 AM and the aliens will come. Defeat them, and you get Epona for good, plus you get a milk bottle.

To beat the aliens, Just stand on the box and shoot the aliens. They'll come around the back too, so watch out. If you're running out of arrows, then just let an alien get close before shooting it, because you'll be able to grab the arrows it drops. At 5:15 the aliens will leave, and you'll get your prize.

After you beat the aliens, wait until 6PM on the second day to hitch a ride with Cremia to protect her milk shipment. She'll find that her regular path is blocked, and she has to go through the Gorman Track. The Gorman Brothers will attack you, just shoot them with your endless supply of arrows, you get the Romani Mask for your troubles, which allows you into the Milk Bar (VERY helpful, but not necessary).

Garo's and Stone Masks 2.8

For the Garo's Mask take Epona to the Gorman Track and race them. Just keep a good speed NEVER use your last carrot, because then they'll take a long time to replenish. Try to block them off, but keep on the inside. It's quite an easy race, once you beat them they'll give you the Garo's Mask, which will help you out later - this is optional, but helpful (check the glitches section on how it's possible). Now for the Stone Mask. First, soar to the Swamp, and buy a red potion. Now, take Epona and ride out to the East. Keep going until you find a circle of rocks. Use the Lens of Truth and you'll see a soldier, Shiro, give him the red potion and he'll give you the Stone Mask. It'll make you invisible to the pirate guards you'll face soon.

Now, use the Song of Time, this part takes a LONG time.

Getting the Hookshot 2.9

Now take Epona out west, and just keep going until you get to a barricade. NOW, if you are trying to get the hookshot BEFORE you get Epona, then just stand facing it, very close. Drop a bomb, quickly turn into Goron and curl up. Now, use Goron pound, timed so that the bomb will explode when you are in the air. The blast should send you over the wall.

Now, you'll see seagulls out hovering above something. Go to it, and you'll realize it's a Zora. Drag him back to shore, he'll stumble around a little, play the Song of Healing to get the Zora Mask. Now, swim out to that building with the hook on the top, hit the owl statue, and carry on. Facing the door, swim out to the right (west) until you see some wood planks on the wall. Ram into them until you find one that reveals an opening. You're now in the Pirates' Fortress.

Now, hitch a ride on one of the boats (WEAR THE STONE MASK). While here, snap a nice picture of the guard (get their whole head, and maybe boobs in the shot). Keep riding until you come to a switch. Turn into Goron and pound it. As Zora Link (which will hereby be referred to as Mikau - the name of the Zora whose body you inhabit), swim to the hole that just opened, stay a good distance underwater so you don't get noticed. Now swim through the hall. Push the block on the right, and swim to the left. Pull the block there, and go back. Go through the opening you opened up by pulling that block (swimming through two wooden planks to get there) and go up via the blower-majigger. Swim straight, and avoid the mines, they hurt. Jump up on the ledge, and go through the door. Now, just follow the land path until you go up the stairs. Now, Goron punch the barrels on the right. Use your fins to hit the switch, jump down, and swim through the opening (you have limited time).

Swim straight through this hallway, avoiding the mines, and go up the ladder. Hop on the switch, jump on the grate in the floor, and shoot the revealed switch with an arrow, or your fins. Now, shoot the next switch (preferably from on top of the water spout) and then go through the door that opened. Follow the path, go up the ramp, and through the passage on your right.

Still don't know why you brought Stone Mask along? This is why. This place is crawling with guards, who you are invisible to as long as you have that mask on. Run up, and climb the ladder, go straight, and through the door behind the pillar-thing (a Hookshot target). Go up to the bars and you'll get a cutscene, then, shoot the wasps nest with an arrow, then go back out the door. Facing the Hookshot target, drop down to your right, and go through that door. Open the chest to get the hookshot, and use it on the plank above the fish tank to drop in, catch the egg in a bottle.

IF YOU ARE USING THE SHORTCUT SNOWHEAD ROUTE, LEAVE NOW, AND GO TO SNOWHEAD TO DO THE TEMPLE OTHERWISE, CONTINUE.

Now, from the beginning of the area with all the guards (to help out the Snowhead users), go to the left, and up the stairs. Shoot the Hookshot target on the upper ledge in front of you. Hop off, and jump into the opening. Hookshot the wood, grab the egg, and leave the way you came. Hookshot the target in front of you (not on the bridge) and go up the stairs. Now, as Mikau, jump around the separator and land on the ledge behind it. If you fail at this, you'll at least see where the ledge is, and figure your own way onto it. As I said, this is the way I play, and if you're not good enough to pull something off, then you can figure out an alternate route. Hookshot the wood, grab the egg, out the way you came. On the right is another Hookshot target, hit it. Keep going, and in front of you (across a gap, beside an opening) is another. Again shoot it, and enter. Now, go straight to the fork, and go left, you should still be wearing the Stone Mask. Go through the door, and you'll fight a pirate. This is why you were taking the somewhat strange route, it was to avoid these dumb fights. Spin into her as a Deku to stun her, then attack. Easy. Go through the door that opens up, hookshot the wood, grab the egg and soar back to the lab. Drop all the eggs in the tank and continue to Pinnacle Rock.

Pinnacle Rock and the New Wave Bossa Nova 3.0

Now, go to the small hut in Great Bay (not the dilapitated one) and show the picture to the guy. He'll give you a golden seahorse for it. Now, swim out to that weird rock formation (not the really swirly one, that's the Temple, you can't go there yet). Now, let the seahorse out and it'll lead you to the actually important part of Pinnacle Rock (or you can follow the signs underwater, which is what I do if I get an "unnacceptable" picture, it saves you the time of having to get an acceptable picture). Here, you'll need at least three empty bottles. There are eels in some of these holes, so watch out. The best way to do it is to just swim past the hole, the eel will come out, just swim into it with your electric sheild, or hit it with your boomerang fins (saves magic power). After you kill the eel, grab the egg. Once all the eels are dead, the second seahorse will come out, the one you brought will join it, and you'll get a heart piece.

Now, drop all those eggs off at the Lab, and they'll hatch, and form a song - the New Wave Bossa Nova. Learn it, and now it's off to the Great Bay Temple! If you're facing the door, then look way out to the left, and you'll see another small formation - swim to it. Enter (there's a hole in the bottom) and you'll find it's the Zora Hall - everyone thinks you're the guitarist for the Indigo-Go's - Mikau. Run through and exit and you'll find yourself at the Zora Cape. Hit the owl statue, and you might want to play the Song of Time again, this Temple is a doozy.

The Great Bay Temple 3.1

Play the New Wave Bossa Nova as Mikau, and a big turtle will rise up. Hookshot the tree on its back and it'll take you to the Great Bay Temple. First, go through the door, that's a no-brainer. Now, in the back right corner, there's a little platform with a knob on it. Push the knob and it'll disappear. Now, go back to the platform where you started. If you are facing the main machinery of the temple, then the rising platform you want is on the right side (where you made water start flowing). Hop on, then jump straight, turn left (don't get hit by the Skulltulla), and jump onto the water jet, then to the next platform. Now jump in the water, and find the yellow hall that sucks you in (there's another, but the flow must be reversed - more on that later). Now swim through, and follow the red pipe through another hallway (get rid of the dexihand blocking the entrance). Swim past the Bio Deku Babas (or kill them, I don't care) and into the next room. Jump in the pond in the middle, grab the small key from the chest, and leave. Now, beside the door you entered from, is a stream of water, facing the door, jump in the right side, then into the red hallway at the bottom. Walk up the red pipe, avoid the Real Bombchu, and then into the locked door, and the door at the end of the hall. Next miniboss fight - Wart.

What It's Called: Wart
Description: Huge eyeball surrounded by bubbles
How It Attacks: Rolls into you, after a while it drops all bubbles and starts charging.
Where to Find it: Great Bay Temple, Ikana Secret Shrine.
How to Kill it: Remove as many bubbles as you can with your hookshot or bow (boomerang fins don't kill them, so they're not a very good idea), and start shooting the eye with arrows when it opens, when it charges, just ready your bow and shoot it in the eye when it's open.

Ice arrows are yours, go back. At the back-left of the room (from your perspective) there is a ledge, jump on it. Freeze the Octorok with an Ice Arrow, hop on it, then to the platform. Push the switch. Go left, swim through the hallway (it'll suck you in). Now, go into the higher yellow hallway. Jump onto the platform. Now, there are two platforms ahead of you, one has a door. Use the Ice Arrows to make little platforms to jump on (use Deku Link for better water-hopping ability, but make the final jump with human or Mikau). Go through the door, freeze the Chuchu, and push it up to the platform (it's only frozen for a limited time). Hop on, and push the switch.

Back through the door, swim down and to the right, kill the dexihands and go through the hall. Go past the Babas and through the door. Now, use the Ice Arrows to make little platforms again and go to the passage on the right. Next miniboss - Gekko 2. If you can't kill him, check the Minibosses section for more information.

You now have the Boss Key. Jump out the window (the fact that it has no glass makes it easier) and hop back down in that fast flowing hallway. This room should start looking familiar, but instead of going in a hallway, jump up onto the platform in the back, and climb the ladder. Hop onto the rotor thing, and freeze the waterfall, then climb the ladder and go through the door. Kill the Tektite, freeze the water, and climb up onto the green platform, as usual, push the switch. Now go back the way you came, through both doors, until you end up in that super-complex second room. Look to the right, on the ceiling, and you'll see a Hookshot target above the red water spout. Hit it, and jump onto the red platform. Push the switch. Hop down and push the yellow switch, the flow of water is now reversed.

Using the same method as at the beginning, go back to the rotor room. Remember those hallways that pushed you away, while the other ones sucked you in? Well now it's reversed. Head to the lower greenish hall, kill the dexi hands, and hop on the rising and falling platform near the back of the room. Hop onto the shaft, and onto the next moving platform, where you will shoot the falling water with an Ice Arrow. Walk along the paddle things (if they are in a bad position, allow the water to flow again, and freeze it again, hoping for a more manageable position. Now, hop off that, and through the door.

Now, in the back of this room, is a see-saw looking object, hop on the one that is down, and shoot a fire arrow at the frozen water (if the water is flowing, you're on the wrong one) to make your platform rise. Jump to the left onto the next one, and melt the ice above it. Next, jump to the green platform and push the switch. Now, jump off this, go straight and find the see-saw closest to the wall, with the water flow frozen. Melt the ice, and hop on the platform, proceed through the door. Jump down and swim through the yellow hallway, then down to the lower yellow one.

Grab anything you need out of the pots, and walk up the green pipe, then push the switch at the top. Jump across the water, jump to the boss room, open it, and prepare for the hardest boss battle!

What It's Called: Gargantuan Masked Fish: Gyorg 3.2
Description: This is one huge fish! Gyorg will swim around, and if you get too close to him, he'll eat you.
How It Attacks: If you get too close, he'll snap around and eat you, doing incredible damage. Occassionally, he'll ram into the platform you're on, causing you to fly halfway across it (if you're not in the middle, it's likely you'll fall off, and get eaten). Gyorg can also do a low jump across your platform to either ram you, or eat you. Halfway through, Gyorg will release a bunch of fish from his mouth. Though they don't do much damage, they end your swimming pose, and you have to get ready to dolphin jump again, which can be fatal.
Where to Find it: Great Bay Temple
How to Kill it: L target him, being careful not to stand too close to the edge, and shoot it with an arrow. Swim in at an angle, so you can hit it with your electric sheild while you're passing it (don't swim at it, and expect to turn around in time), then dolphin-jump back onto the platform.

Grab the heart container, and head into the blue light.

The Song of Storms and Captain's Hat 3.3

Now you've killed Gyorg, so take Epona out to the west. You'll come to a big cliff. Now, if you have the Garo's mask, then the guy will make a tree appear for you to Hookshot. Otherwise, do the following:

Go to the left, you'll see a ledge, climb up. Now, turn to the right, and you'll be facing a slightly sloped cliff. Set down a bomb, turn into a Goron, and pound so that the bomb will detonate when you're in the air. Now Goron roll up the side, and to the left. Turn into a human, and go as much to the left as possible (without falling off). Use ^ to look, and face straight down across to the right, then backflip. If you did it right, you should still be standing on the cliff (or hovering a little). Now roll up, and slightly to the right, the face of the cliff. Once you're near the top, start slashing your sword (notice each slash brings you forward a little). Turn to face the peak of a cliff beside you (actually, it's the same cliff, but it appears to be beside you), and start slashing until you're a considerable distance out, then cautiously walk across, and jump the rest of the way. If you've done this correctly, you'll be on the top of the small cliff with the weird guy beside you. He'll still say he won't let you pass until you gain "something" (Garo's Mask) but that doesn't matter now.

In any case, you're beside the guy now. Goron roll up the hill, get spiky so the weird pig things coming out of the ground can't hurt you. Keep going to the next area. Freeze the Octoroks, and hop across. Just keep Hookshotting the trees until you reach the top. Now, slash the owl statue. Now, go back to where you found Shiro (the guy who gave you the Stone Mask) and go to the left, hop up the ledge, and keep going, through the Ikana Graveyard, to the end. You'll see a huge skull with two hands sticking out of the ground. This guy doesn't look like he'll be waking up very soon . . . unless you make him. Play the Sonata of Awakening to get his lazy ass up, and he'll start walking away. Shoot him with an arrow, and Goron roll up to him, if you get too far, you'll find a wall of fire separating you, and you'll have to kill two Stalchildren to get to him. Just shoot him again, Goron roll up to him, and punch the crap out of him. After you defeat him, he'll stop the fire around the chest across from you, Hookshot it and you'll find the Captain's Hat inside.

Now, go up to the three Stalchildren guarding a grave, and, wearing the Captain's Hat (or they'll attack you) tell them to open the grave. Go in, hop across the gaps, light all the torches (wear the stone mask to avoid being hit by the Keese), and proceed. Now, you find the Iron Knuckle. Just kill him, see the Monsters section if you have trouble. Next, you'll find the Flat Composer, and learn the Song of Storms.

Gibdo's Mask 3.4

A small segment here, travel to Ikana Canyon, follow the trench into a hole, you'll find the Sharp Composer, play the Song of Storms and he'll leave, the water will run again, and the Gibdos around the Music Box House will leave. Now, drop a bomb (or use the Blast Mask) on the door of the music house, and run around the right side. A small girl will come out, wait until she's sufficiently far away, and then run inside. Go to the basement and you'll be attacked by a half Gibdo, half man. Play the Song of Healing and he'll be cured, and you'll get the Gibdo's Mask. Now you can talk to those damn mummies without getting humped!

Beneath the Well 3.5

For this next section you'll need (other than to play the Song of Time beforehand):

Milk - Buy it from the Gorman Racetrack
A Fish - Catch one in the Stock Pot Inn kitchen
10 Deku Nuts - Buy them from the Trading Post
10 Bombs - Buy from the Bomb Shop
5 Magic Beans - Buy from the Deku at Swamp Tourist Info
1 Powder Keg - Buy from Goron in Bomb Shop

Now, go forwards, and then to the slope on your left, keep going straight again, and then on the slope you your left, then finally, you'll reach teh Well. Drop in.
First, give the Gibdo ahead of you 5 Magic Beans. Now, go straight again, and give that Gibdo 5 Deku Nuts. Go straight, but turn left this time, and give the Gibdo 10 bombs. Now, you'll find a Big Poe, kill it (if you have trouble, visit the Monsters section), catch its soul in a bottle and leave the room. Go two rooms back and give the Gibdo a fish. Give the next Gibdo the Big Poe Spirit. Roll through the spiky logs and give the final Gibdo the milk. Now, light all the torches and you'll get the mirror sheild.

Soar back to Ikana Canyon. Travel up the stream and to the right, you'll see a small opening in the wall, go in. Hit the switch and shine the light on the big sun block to get rid of it. Go straight in, wear the Garo's Mask if you want to see what dancing ReDeads look like. Melt the iced eye on the left and proceed. Hit the switch and dash under the ceiling (it'll fall soon, use the Goron roll to go fastest). Stop on the second-last flower, and put the Deku Mask on, burrow in, and blast up onto the pillar, change to Link to push the switch down, then you can just Goron roll off the edge of it and go through the door. Use the Deku Flower to go all the way to the left of the room, in the corner to push the switch down, then use the lens of truth to see the invisible path. Roll onto the ledge in front of you, then in front again (be sure you shoot down the Skulltullas), then to the door. Ignore everything in this room, just go up the stairs. Open the door. Now, walk on the outside ledge until you come to a Deku Flower, use it to get to the switch. Push it, then jump down. Melt the right iced eye and enter the room. Here, you'll fight Wizrobe again. Kill him, go through the door. Use the Mirror Sheild to kill the Floormaster (or just run past it) and remove the sun block. Just use the Garo's, Stone or Captain's Hat to pass the ReDeads. Now, turn right and you'll come to a severely damaged area in the floor. Powder Keg it. Drop down, Mirror Sheild the sun block in front of you, and go through. You'll now fight Igos Du Ikana and his two servants.

What It's Called: Igos Du Ikana and Cohorts
Description: Two skeletons, and one boss skeleton
How It Attacks: First two are standard sword and sheild enemies, they hit you, they block your attacks. Igos will also use poison breath, and sometimes he'll remove his head to have it piss you off for a while.
Where to Find it: Ancient Castle of Ikana.
How to Kill it: First, use a fire arrow on each curtain to let the light in. Then, spin into them as a Deku Scrub, then attack. Once they're on the ground, dead, you have to shine light on them to get rid of them for good. Once the cohorts are dead, Igos will fight you.

After you kill him, you'll get the Elegy of Emptiness, which will allow you to enter Stone Tower Temple.

Stone Tower 3.6

From the owl statue go straight ahead, up the ramp, and then go to your right. You'll see an opening that looks like a mouth with a tongue sticking out. Goron roll up the tongue and into the cave. Go straight ahead and play the Elegy of Emptiness while pressing down the switch, for this, I'll say Zora. Hookshot the target above. Now, play the Elegy of Emptiness on the switch as something other than what you played it as before (or the first will disappear), say, Goron. Hookshot the next target. Play the Elegy of Emptiness on the next switch as a human. Hookshot the target on your right while standing on the last block, and play the Elegy of Emptiness on the switch as Goron. Hookshot the target, and play the Elegy of Emptiness on the next switch as Zora. Hookshot the next target, and play the Elegy of Emptiness on the switch as Link. Hop across and Hookshot the target on the right, watch out for boulders now. Stand on the edge of the ledge, and hookshot the target (not the closest one) it's a bit of a stretch, but your Hookshot's long enough. Now, hit the owl statue. Now push down the right, then left, then the middle switch with Elegy dummies, hop across the blocks, and you'll be in Stone Tower Temple.

Stone Tower Temple Part 1 3.7

Run forward, and to the left and open the door. Bomb the wall in front of you (block the Real Bombchus), destroy the large crates, pick up a small box and drop it on the switch near you. Go forward and left, and you'll see a very large switch, push it with the Goron Elegy dummy. Now go around, and push down the next one with another dummy. Again, forward and left, use your last Elegy dummy to push it down.

Now, go through the door that just opened, and bomb the discoloured area in the floor and drop down. Use the Mirror Sheild to get rid of the sun block. Goron roll over the lava (so you don't get hurt) and place a bomb in front of the Armoses, then roll back. Allow the Armoses to destroy themselves and open the chest that appears. Go up the stairs, and open the locked door on the left. Turn into a Zora and go straight. Dolphin-jump up to the chest, inside it is a small key. Now hop down, and through the hallway on your right. When you surface, grab onto the little bridge. Go right, and open the door.

Punch out two of the blocks as Goron, and hop on as human, wear the Stone Mask to avoid being hit by Black Boes. Shine the light on the mirror on the left, then run up while it's still holding the light, and shine it on the next mirror, then on the sun block. Continue. The only explanation for this area is to follow the path as a Deku, and hope you don't fall in. Just stay above the vents. Enter the door on your right to fight the Master Garo.

What It's Called: Master Garo
Description: King of all Garos
How It Attacks: Same as other Garos, but faster, and doesn't drop his guard.
Where to Find it: Stone Tower Temple, Twinmold Mini-Dungeon, Ikana Secret Shrine.
How to Kill it: Watch out! His blades are on fire, so when you spin into it as a Deku to stun it, make sure you block first, wait until he's standing up, then spin, and attack while it's stunned. If he hits you and sets you on fire, DO NOT turn into a Deku, or you will have to start the battle over again. If you don't like this strategy, then just block and try to hit him before he attacks, the Blast Mask works too, but not very well.

Stone Tower Temple Part 2 3.8

Now go to the beginning of the Temple (song of soaring). If you did not buy Chateau Romani from the Milk Bar yet, buy it now. Hop on the block and shoot the red jewel below the entrance with a Light Arrow. Go to the right, and shoot the sun block with a Light Arrow to make it disappear. As a Deku, fly up and go onto the right widie-guster, then through the hallway. Step on the switch to make a chest appear. Keep going down the hall, grab the key inside the chest, and hop onto the vent to your right. Fly up to the locked door, watch out for the mines, and open it. Shoot the red jewel, turn into a Goron and roll across, then shoot the jewel again, and go through the door.

Shoot the jewel right off the bat. Push the block up four squares, and shoot the jewel. Now, from your new point of view, push it up seven, it should now be in a small indentation, very close to the hole in the floor. Shoot the jewel, and push it up two, then shoot the jewel again. Push it up two more and the door will open, climb on and go through, after replenishing magic and arrows with the Chuchus. You'll fight Wizrobe again, does this guy ever give up? Same strategy as always, when he's dead Hookshot the chest and go through the passage. Turn into Deku, fly across the gap, don't get killed by the Poes. On the other side, use the flower and go through the passage to your right. Go forwards, push the switch with an Elegy dummy, grab the chest. Go back where you were and go through the door.

Go to the right, put the Stone Mask on, and push the switch down (Stone Mask is to avoid the Armos thingie). Go back through the door, shoot down the mines, and use the Deku Flower to fly to the small tunnel thing halfway to the other end of the room. Use that Flower to get the rest of the way. Gomess time.

What It's Called: Gomess
Description: Kind of like a Grim Reaper, surrounded by bats, with a big scythe.
How It Attacks: Keyword: Big scythe.
Where to Find it: Stone Tower Temple
How to Kill it: Light arrows, then hit him with your sword.

Once he's dead, go back to the beginning of the temple, Hookshot the chest you made appear by pushing the switch a while back. Kill the Eyegore by shooting it in the eye when it changes colour, then run up and hit him. Now you get the Giant's Mask. Go through, shoot the switch, Hookshot the chest, Hookshot the target, hop down, go through the Boss Door.

What It's Called: Giant Masked Insect: Twinmold 3.9
Description: Two big centipedes
How It Attacks: It doesn't . . .
Where to Find it: Stone Tower Temple
How to Kill it: Use Giant's Mask and slash their face or tail.

The Moon/Odalwa Mini-Dungeon 4.0

Now, once again, I'll assume it's midnight of the third day. You go up to Clock Tower, now, instead of shooting Skull Kid with a bubble, play Oath to Order. This'll call all the Giants to stop the moon. Majora's Mask will now leave Skull Kid behind, and fly up inside the moon. Link will follow. You'll find yourself in a field. If you have all the masks like you should, then continue with this, otherwise, only talk to the Majora child.

Talk to the kid wearing Odalwa's Remains (the kid is wearing them). Give him a mask and play his game (try to save the Bunny Hood and Blast Mask for last). As a Deku Scrub, pop out of the flower, and onto one on the revolving platform, then, pop out and drop into another on the next platform (avoiding the rotating spikything, of course). Go to the right and you'll get a Piece of Heart. Go back to the revolving platform you were on, use the golden Deku Flower to reach the door. Give the kid another mask to exit.

Goht Mini-Dungeon 4.1

Roll forwards until you hit an intersection, the chests will bounce you perfectly if you just hold up on the control stick. When you reach the intersection (between straight land and going right onto a bridge) choose the bridge. Roll right across, then to the left, which is a dead end. Turn right around (you need the extra space to get spikes), start rolling, make the slight turn to the left, then follow the path, if there is an intersection, go straight. You'll reach a Piece of Heart. Now, turn around, and start rolling to the edge, it should have a ramp at the end. Stop when you reach the first two green jars, turn to the left, and go on the bridge. Go straight (DON'T GO ON THE GLOWING CIRCLE, IT WILL TRANSPORT YOU TO THE BEGINNING OF THE MINI-DUNGEON!) and you'll reach the end. Give the kid two more masks to exit.

Gyorg Mini-Dungeon 4.2

Give the kid three masks to enter. You'll find yourself in a series of tunnels, made of metal. From the start, go right, left, left, left for a Piece of Heart. Then left, left, right, right for the exit. Give the kid three masks and you'll be back on the moon.

Twinmold Mini-Dungeon 4.3

Here, you'll fight a chain of Mini-bosses, starting with:

What It's Called: Dinolfos
Description: Two legged dinosaur
How It Attacks: Breathes fire, sword
Where to Find it: Woodfall and Snowhead Temples, Twinmold Mini-Dungeon, Ikana Secret Shrine
How to Kill it: Throw a Deku Nut, jump attack with a Deku Stick, turn into Deku Link, it'll fall down dead after the one hit. Otherwise, spin into it with Deku Link, then slash while it's stunned.

Then:

What It's Called: Master Garo
Description: King of all Garos
How It Attacks: Same as other Garos, but faster, and doesn't drop his guard.
Where to Find it: Stone Tower Temple, Twinmold Mini-Dungeon, Ikana Secret Shrine.
How to Kill it: Spin into it as a Deku, then attack while it's stunned. But for Christ's sake, watch out!

Hookshot the chest, go through to find an Iron Knuckle. You should know how to kill these guys by now.

Grab the Bombchu, line it up with the crack, let it go, shoot with your bow if you have to. Shoot the eye, climb the ladder. Grab the Piece of Heart, let the Bombchu go, melt the iced eye. Give the kid four masks to exit.

You now have no non-transformation masks. Talk to the kid wearing Majora's Mask, and he'll give you the Fierce Deity's Mask. Prepare for a fight (even if you didn't get the FD Mask, this will cover how you kill it).

Now, you'll appear in a square room with a lot of shiny things on the walls. The remains of the four bosses will leave you, and take their places on the walls. Smash the pots behind you if you need magic or arrows. Walk forward, and the battle with begin.

What It's Called: Majora's Mask 4.4
Description: Majora's Mask, floating around.
How It Attacks: Shoots energy things at you.
Where to Find it: The moon
How to Kill it: Use boomerang fins to hit the back of it, switch to human, then back to Mikau to gain multiple sets of fins (throw them, then you get a new set before the first ones return, a useful glitch). Halfway through the battle, the four remains will come off the wall, and start floating around, shooting energy balls at you that deal one heart damage, as well as ruining your L targeting. Majora's Mask will start shooting heat beams at you, just block them with your Mirror Sheild and send them back at it. Or just use Fierce Deity Mask, then you don't have to worry about hitting the back.

What It's Called: Majora's Incarnation 4.5
Description: Majora's Mask with arms and legs
How It Attacks: Runs around, dances, and occassionally, but not often, throws energy balls.
Where to Find it: The moon.
How to Kill it: This thing is annoying. it runs around, making it almost impossible to get an L target on it. Once you've got it, just kill it the same as Majora's Mask, except you don't have to hit the back of it. Or, you can just use an arrow to stun, and then slash it. Or the Fierce Deity Mask.

What It's Called: Majora's Wrath 4.6
Description: Majora's Mask with muscley arms and legs, and a big, angry head, and two whips.
How It Attacks: Whips, slaps you, grabs you with them.
Where to Find it: The moon.
How to Kill it: Arrows to stun and then slash, or Mikau's electric sheild. Fierce Deity works best.

Masks 4.7

What It's Called: Deku Mask
Where to Get It: Happy Mask Salesman, after getting your Ocarina back
How to Get It: Play the Song of Healing
What It's For: Use this mask to transform into a Deku Scrub. While a Scrub, you can spin around to kill enemies, or stun Mini-Bosses. You can also burrow into the pink flowers, and pop out, then fly around. You can also shoot bubbles, which become completely obsolete as soon as you have the bow. You also get up to five hops across water, before falling in (in which case you warp back to the platform you jumped off of.

What It's Called: Goron Mask
Where to Get It: Darmani's Ghost, in the Mountain Villiage
How to Get It: Play the Song of Healing
What It's For: Use the mask to transform into the rock-eating, renowned Goron hero, Darmani. For some reason, all the other Gorons think you actually ARE Darmani, despite the fact that you wear weird green clothes. While in this form, you can hit A to curl up, and use the control stick to roll around. If you roll for long enough, you'll get spikes around you, allowing you to hurt things (like giant robot farm animals) or break large snowballs. Needless to say, Goron's don't swim very well (or at all) and the word "jump" might be a little strong for what they do. You can also tug very heavy blocks, or hit B while curled to do a Goron Pound, to push stubborn switches, or kill things within a certain radius of you.

What It's Called: Zora Mask
Where to Get It: Mikau, after pulling him back to shore at the Great Bay.
How to Get It: Play the Song of Healing
What It's For: Use the mask to transform into a Zora, more specifically, the guitarist for the Zoran band, the Indigo-Go's, Mikau. Again, everyone thinks you're Mikau, despite your green clothes, and the fact that you never talk. This is a great mask, because it allows you to run faster, jump further, and swim MUCH faster. Hit A in the water to start swimming, and use the control stick to control yourself. If you go deep, and then hold down to resurface quickly, you'll do a "dolphin jump" which can be used to get onto platforms very quickly (especially in the Gyorg fight).

What It's Called: Fierce Deity's Mask
Where to Get It: Majora Child (moon)
How to Get It: Have given away all masks to other children (You must have had all the masks to start with, and completed all mini-dungeons)

What It's Called: All-Night Mask
Where to Get It: Curiosity Shop - 500 Rupees
How to Get It: Save the Bomb Shop Lady from Sakon (midnight, 1st day)

What It's Called: Blast Mask
Where to Get It: Bomb Shop Lady
How to Get It: Save her from Sakon (midnight 1st day)
What It's For: This is a strange mask. It's a bomb that you attach to your face, and somehow raising a sheild in front of it sheilds you from the blast. Oh well. Hit B to explode, then wait a minute or so while it recharges. Always take it off when you're done, you don't want to hit B to take out your sword, and explode your face instead.

What It's Called: Bremen Mask
Where to Get It: Guru-Guru (night of any day in the Laundry Pool)
How to Get It: Listen to his confession.
What It's For: Hit B to whip out your Ocarina and start marching (you don't have to play, it does it for you). The only use this mask has is getting the Bunny Hood from Romani Ranch.

What It's Called: Bunny Hood
Where to Get It: Romani Ranch, Grog in the Cucco House
How to Get It: Go to the end of the ranch, and on the left you'll see a building with pictures of Cuccos on it. Go in, march with the Bremen Mask to make the chicks follow you. Hold B the whole time, because if you let go, they'll all scatter again. Once all of them are in a line, they'll grow into Cuccos, Grog'll give you the Bunny Hood.
What It's For: Run fast! (1 Piece of Heart)

Sidequests 4.8

Getting Epona and Saving the Ranch 4.9

Temple Faries 5.1

Now, these faries are placed in accordance with the walkthrough, ie: if one is in "room 3" then go to the third room in the walkthrough and it'll be there. If one is misplaced, just tell me and I will fix it, most also have a dead giveaway of the room just by location (or other specifics).

Woodfall 5.2

1. 1st room, in front. Use Great Farie's Mask to lure it to you.

2. 1st room, open the chest next to the flower on the right.

3. 2nd, front-right, in a pot.

4. 2nd, in a Deku Baba near locked door.

5. 2nd, near the switch beside the unlit torch, in a bubble. Shoot it and use the Great Farie's Mask

6. 3rd, in a beehive in the gargoyle's mouth. Shoot it, use the Great Farie's Mask

7. 4th (with the block) inside the skulltulla.

8. 4th, under the bridge. Stand on the back, shoot it, use the Great Farie Mask.

9. 4th, in a beehive on the underside of the platforms. Shoot, use Great Farie Mask

10. 5th, with the Boes. Kill all the Boes for a chest with a farie in it.

11. 2nd, with the spinning flower after killing Gekko. Deku Flower onto the switch, open the chest that appears.

12. In bubble, on the left. Shoot, use the Farie Mask.

13. In a bubble on the left. Shoot, use the Farie Mask.

14. In a bubble on the right. Shoot, use the Farie Mask.

15. In a bubble on the left platform. Shoot, use the Farie Mask.

To reach the Farie Fountain, simply go right (from the exit after killing Odalwa) and hop along the lily pads, then jump up with the flowers until you see a cave, enter, and you'll receive an upgraded spin attack.

Snowhead 5.3

For this one, I'm going to assume you have the Hookshot, because that's how I did it, because that's the smart way.

1. 2nd room in the weird rock in the gap, in a bubble. Shoot, it, use the Great Farie Mask.

2. 2nd room in a bubble under the platform straight ahead. Shoot, it, use the Great Farie Mask.

3. 3rd room, push the block to the end, hookshot the chest that appears.

4. 4th room, melt the frozen switch, step on it, open the chest.

5. 4th room in the crate on the right pillar beside the bombable wall. Break it (bombs work nicely) and retrieve the Farie.

6. 5th Lens of Truth above the small snow patch on the wall, open the chest.

7. 6th room, the ceiling is fake, Lens, shoot the farie's bubble and use the Great Farie Mask.

8. 9th (with the Eenos) in the wall, Lens of Truth, shoot, Great Farie Mask.

9. 10th, in a Dinolfos.

10. 10th, in the other Dinolfos.

11. Basement, hit switch as Goron, open chest.

12. Room with 3 Freezards (right before the big switch that raises the whole pillar - 12th?) - kill the Freezards and open the chest.

13. Room with single Freezard and the iced eye (14th?) at the side, not in a bubble. Use the Great Farie Mask.

14. Rooom with single Freezard and the iced eye (14th?) Lens of Truth, climb the invisible stairs, open the chest.

15. This one's complicated. Go up to the Boss Door, and you'll see a Deku Flower. Use it, but not yet. First, use the Lens of Truth downwards and you should see a small opening with a Deku Flower in it, jump at it, using the Flower. Deku Flowers last a long time when slowing your descent. If you fall, just make sure you fall onto the snow bank above it, and from there you can drop down, into the little alcove. Open the chest for the final farie.

The Farie Fountain near where the ramp up to the temple begins, simply roll up the hill, and go right, rather than left, and you'll see a cave. Go in, and you'll get a doubled magic meter.

Great Bay 5.4

1. 1st room, light all the torches to make a chest appear. Open it for a farie.

2. 2nd room, underneath the platform you start on, in a bubble. Shoot it, and use the Great Farie Mask.

3. 2nd room, take the rising platform on the left (rather than the one on the right) and kill the Skulltulla for another farie.

4. 3rd room, break the barrel on the left.

5. 3rd room, In the middle of the pool at the bottom there is a pot. Break it with boomerang fins, then surface, climb on land, and use the Great Farie's Mask to get it.

6. 5th room, kill all the Bio Deku Babas, hop along the lily pads and open the chest for another farie.

7. 6th room, smash the pot on the left to reveal a farie.

8. 6th room, on the left side of the door, there is a pot, and two Dexihands. Smash the pot with boomerang fins (from above) and use the Great Farie's Mask to lure the farie to you.

9. 7th (with two high platforms, one with barrels, the other with an irreversible dial). It's pretty straightforward. Just hop onto the platform with the barrels, and look up, and to the back of the room. You'll see a hole in the ceiling. Use ice arrow platforms to reach the very back, and Hookshot the target. Open the chest.

10. 8th room, when the rising platform is at the top, freeze the water flow, now, hop onto the shaft, and then onto the waterwheel (the fan looking thing, not the two rotor blades). Look behind you and there'll be a hole with a chest in it. Hookshot it to get your next farie.

11. 8th room, from the location of Farie #10 - now, look to the other side of the room, and you'll see another chest in a little alcove. Climb over to it and Hookshot it.

12. 9th room (see-saws). Underneath the first see-saw is a chest, drop down, and open it.

13. 9th (see-saws). Use the seesaws to reach the green platform with the dial. Climb onto the green pipe (as Mikau), walk along it, drop down onto the platform, and Hookshot the chest across from you.

14. Last room (right before Gyorg) - there's a bubbled farie under the platform. Shoot it, and use the Great Farie's Mask.

15. In the exit hall of the last room, there's a bubbled farie, use the boomerang fins to free it, climb onto the pipe and use the Great Farie's Mask to lure it to you.

To get to the Farie Fountain, simply swim to the right, and you'll see some small islands with trees on them. Hop on, and hookshot yourself between islands, jump on the small treeless one, then onto the large one. Bomb the rocks to reveal the fountain. You'll get a sheild around your hearts causing enemies to do half as much damage (1/4 heart things will take two hits to deal their 1/4 heart damage - you are not immune).

Stone Tower 5.5

For this one, I'll assume you're smart enough to hit all the switches (there are many in room 5, of non-inverted)

1. 1st room - shoot the eye, open the chest.

2. 4th room, Hookshot the target on the right, on the ceiling, open the chest.

3. 5th room - blow up the diamond switch on the right, swim over to the left, Light Arrw the sun block, open the chest.

4. 7th room shine light on the far left sun on the right side, open the chest.

5. 7th room, shine light on the sun block on the right, open the chest.

6. 8th room, go left after the first vent, open the chest.

7. 8th room, drop down, Goron pound the switch, roll to the end, and hit the switch (that is no longer surrounded by fire - this may take a few tries). Go back up, use the Deku Flower and vents to reach the end, open the chest.

8. 10th room, drop down, open the chest.

9. 11th room, kill the Eyegore, open the chest.

10. INVERTED - 2nd room, Deku Flower to the switch, Elegy of Emptiness to hold it, Deku Flower to chest.

11. 2nd room, Deku to the chest on the right.

12. 2nd room, more Deku-ing around to the last farie chest in the room.

13. 5th (with Wizrobe) Hookshot the chest he leaves, open it for another farie.

14. NON-INVERTED, AFTER INVERSION IS FINISHED (would have gone through to Boss already) 1st room, drop down, open the chest.

15. Take the door on the right (from 1st room), dive in, take the chest on the left.

The Farie Fountain is to the right of the owl statue of Ikana Canyon, in a hole in the wall. Go in to get the Great Farie's Sword.

Anju/Kafei 5.7

This is definitely the most complex sidequest I've ever found, and it gives few hints on how to do it. It's worth it though, because through doing this, you get a Bottle, Piece of Heart and some shitty masks (which are used to get the best mask in the game). Now, before you begin this, make sure it's on day one, and you've got nothing else to do this entire cycle. If you expect to beat a dungeon in the same cycle, you're dreaming (although a good player, like me, can beat all four and the sequence in the same cycle). So, let's begin, shall we?

Where: Mayor's Room, on the left when you enter the building.
When: 1st-2nd, 10AM-8PM
Who: Madame Aroma
What: Talk to her to recieve Kafei's Mask, use it to talk to people about the missing kid.

Where: Stock Pot Inn Lobby
When: 1st, around 1PM
Who: Postman and Anju
What: Listen to their conversation. That's all you have to do.

Where: Stock Pot Inn Lobby
When: Right after Anju and the Postman are done talking
Who: Anju
What: Talk to her, say you have a reservation, and you'll get a room key.

Where: Stock Pot Inn Lobby
When: After you have the room key
Who: Anju
What: Talk to her while wearing Kafei's Mask, she'll arrange a meeting for the two of you at 11:30PM.

Now, if you talked to Anju before the Postman arrived, then you won't have the room key. But, if you arranged a meeting, you're still fine. Just go outside, and on the right is a Deku Flower. Use it, fly up, and land on the straw ledge. Go through the door anytime after 8PM (closing time), and you're inside the Stock Pot Inn. The only purpose of the room key is to allow you to stay inside after 8PM without being kicked out, and get 100 rupees.

Where: Stock Pot Inn Kitchen
When: 1st, 11:30PM
Who: Anju
What: Talk to her, she'll tell you a bit about Kafei, then give you a letter to deposit. Stick it in any mailbox and go to the next day.

Where: Laundry Pool
When: 2nd, 3:30PM
Who: Postman, Kafei
What: Watch the Postman deliver the letter to Kafei (the little kid with the Keaton's Mask on)

Where: Laundry Pool
When: 2nd, while Kafei is getting his mail (around 4:15)
Who: Kafei
What: Enter the back room of the Curiosity Shop through the almost always locked door in the Laundry Pool. Talk to Kafei when he comes in to get the Pendant of Memories.

Where: Stock Pot Inn
When: Anytime before the 3rd Day at noon.
Who: Anju
What: Give her the Pendant of Memories

Where: Curiosity Shop Back Room
When: 3rd, 1PM-10PM
Who: Curiosity Shop Owner
What: Talk to him to get the Keaton's Mask and Express Mail,

Now, this is where it changes. You can either hand deliver the Express Mail, getting a Bottle of Chateau Romani (requires you to have the Romani Mask) or you can give it to the Postman at his office, and he'll deliver it, then give you his hat when the delivery's done. Either way, you don't have much time. In my experience, the hand delivery has been faster. If you've got the Stone Mask, you're set either way, but I suggest you do both (which means you have to do the sequence up to this point twice) because then you get a Bottle and a mask. You only have to finish the sequence once though.

Where: Milk Bar
When: 3rd, 6PM
Who: Madame Aroma
What: Hand deliver the Express Mail to her for a Bottle of Chateau Romani

Where: Post Office
When: 3rd, 6PM
Who: Postman
What: Give him the Express Mail, he'll go deliver it to Madame Aroma (follow him, but not inside) and when he exits it, he'll give you his hat. Wear it and hit A at a mailbox for an easy Piece of Heart.

Where: Outside Sakon's Hideout (Warp to Ikana Canyon, turn around, jump down the big cliff (not the one with the Garo guy, if you're at him, you've gone too far) and go left, run along that path, passing the Deku Salesman across the river (wear the Stone Mask if you have it!) Kafei should still be behind the rocks near the entrance, wait for Sakon with him. Go inside when the doors open.
When: 3rd, 6PM
Who: Kafei
What: Get inside the Hideout (it's explained in "Where")

Where: Inside Sakon's Hideout
When: 3rd, after entering
Who: Kafei
What:

Bottles 5.9

Why these things are valued so highly, I don't know. Seems like a pretty shitty gift to give someone for saving your cows from aliens. Cheap bastards. Oh well, Bottles are good for everything, from catching water, faries, bugs, Deku princesses, souls, etc.

1. Obtained from Kotake, used to give the red potion to Koume in the Woods of Mystery.

2. Gotten from Romani after helping save the ranch from Them (filled with milk)

3. Gotten from winning the Goron Race after killing Goht, and getting certified for Powder Kegs - filled with Gold Dust.

4. Obtained from the Rapids Race after beating the small and large beavers each once - empty.

5. Obtained from Mama after delivering the Express Mail (see Anju & Kafei sequence in Side-Quests) - filled with Chateau Romani.

6. Obtained from Dampe's Digging Game - Night of the Third Day - lead him to the correct 3 spots and after each, a flame will appear. Make sure you keep him L targeted, so he doesn't get lost. After all three flames have been gathered, a Big Poe will form. Kill it, open the chest that appears, and you'll get the final bottle - empty.

Spider Houses 6.0

This is a section for the two Spider Houses in the game. I will provide a full walkthrough for each, seeing as how the room # can vary depending on which path you take. But, what is a spider house, you ask? Players of Ocarina of Time will remember these buggers. They are the only areas in whch you can find Gold Skulltullas, an annoying as hell enemy. If there's a Gold Skulltulla in the room, you'll hear constant scratching, find it and kill it. Do NOT let them touch you, because they'll do a full heart of damage - a rather nasty foe. All they do is crawl around, so it's only stupid people who get hit. Every time one dies, it'll leave a token, be sure to get it, whether you walk onto it, or use the Hookshot, it's all good. There are 30 spiders in the house, and you'll need all 30 tokens to get the prize.

Swamp 6.1

To find this one, kill Odalwa, I'm not sure if you have to, but do it anyway. Next, exit Woodfall and go to the right via Deku Floewr, keep going and you'll see a small hut, blocked by a spiderweb. Burn it, and enter. You'll want the Hookshot for this, it's possible without it, but barely. So just take the time to get the Hookshot first. From the entrance of the Spider House:

Throw the two rocks, and fill your bottles with bugs. Trust me. Now, go through the door. One Gold Skulltulla is in the pond. Next, release bugs into the patches of dirt on the left and right for one Gold Skulltulla each. Directly to the left of the doorway are two pots. Smash them, one contains a Gold Skulltulla. Another is on the pillar on the right. Now, go through the door to the right of the entrance. You should be in one with a lot of BIG pots and a sleeping Deku Scrub.

Attack the pots to the right for a Gold Skulltulla, and bash the second large pot from the right for another, and one on the far left end for another (I had to punch the one on the end about three times to make it spit out the Skulltulla). Slash the grass behind the Deku Scrub (on the wall) and follow the tunnel to yet another. Play the Sonata of Awakening for the Scrub and use his flower. Now, smash the Gold Skulltulla on the wall in front of you, and shoot down the beehives for two more. Open the door at the top of the ledge.

There's one on the right pillar, one on the wall in the back, and another in the beehives. There's also one above the small little alcove in the wall. Use the Bunny Hood or Zora Mask (if you have the Hookshot you should have both) and hop from one ledge into that little alcove. Go through the door.

There're two Gold Skulltullas hiding in the grass, roll into the tree for another three. Shoot down the beehives for yet another - quite a lot of Gold Skulltullas for such a small room, huh? Now exit this room, put the Bunny Hood back on and hop to the left, back to the room that had the sleeping Deku Scrub, this time, use his flower to get to the room in front of you.

First, go right, and you'll see a Gold Skulltulla on the wall. There's also one right across from you on a pillar. Now, go to the left, and put bugs in the soft soil for yet another Gold Skulltulla. Use the Deku Flower to fly to the one on the platform in the middle, and then to the other side. Open the door.

There's one on the right on the wall, one crawling around on the grey thing, and one on the wall behind said grey thing. Now, down to the bottom, there's one at the back left in a crate, and the final one hides along the right side in a crate.

Talk to the now-uncursed guy for your prize - the Mask of Truth.

Oceanside 6.2

Go to Great Bay. See the dilapitated shed next to the fisherman's hut? Go in there. For this, it HAS to be the first day when you finish in order to claim your prize, and, depending on your skill, you may want it to be the very beginning. Now:

Bomb the wall in front of you, kill the two skulltullas on the sides, and hookshot their tokens. At the bottom of the slide, use a Fire Arrow on the back-left-top wall, on the spider-web, hookshot the Gold Skulltulla behind it, and grab its token. Hookshot the target behind the wall. Look on your left, there'll be three masks, inside the one in the middle, is a Gold Skulltulla, it'll go crawling up and down the wall occasionally. On your right, is a line of large pots, there's a Gold Skulltulla in the first, and last ones. Now, look back towards the door you came in, and look at the first rafter in the room, there's a Gold Skulltulla crawling on it. Kill it, and Hookshot its token.

Go down the stairs, and bash the lone large pot to the left of the door. Now burn away the spiderwebs in the back, and they'll reveal a hole with a Gold Skulltulla at the end. Kill it, Hookshot the token. Once more, on your left, is a Gold Skulltulla crawling in and out of a mask, kill it. At the top of a stack of boxes is a pot, smash it and it'll reveal another Gold Skulltulla. Stand on the stairs and look at the gap between the wall and ceiling (downstairs) and you'll see a Gold Skulltulla.

Go back upstairs, burn the spiderweb covering the door, and enter the library. Go to the right, and you'll see three card catalogs, pull the middle one to reveal a hole in the wall with a Gold Skulltulla at the end. Turn around to look at the bookshelf and you'll see there are books missing in it all the way up, climb it, hop forwards across two bookshelfs, go right on the L shaped bookshelf you should be on top of now, and shoot down the picture in front of you, to reveal a hole in the wall with a Gold Skulltulla at the end. Turn to the left, you'll see a Gold Skulltulla on the top of a bookshelf, get it. Turn right around and look at the gap between the wall and the ceiling for another one. Go back to the card catalog and shoot down the picture, get the Gold Skulltulla. Go to the left, and then to the right, you'll hear a lot of scratching, and you'll see a single bookshelf against a wall. Pull it, and get the two Gold Skulltullas. You should now have 19 Skulltulla Tokens.

Go back, down the stairs, and through the door beside the single large pot, and you should be in a room with four Stalchildren at a table laughing, and four coloured masks on the wall. Shoot down the second painting on the left and it'll reveal a Gold Skulltulla. Now turn around, and you'll see another in between the wall and the ceiling. Bash the large pot at the back-left of the room for yet another. You're still hearing a lot of scratching, but why's this? Use the Goron Pound on the table to find out. Now exit this room, and head for the last one, it's covered by a spider-web, so burn that off and proceed.

Shoot down the spider web at the top to reveal a Gold Skulltulla. Behind the large wooden thing at the back of the room is another, climb on the boxes beside it on the right to get it. Next, at the right of the room, near the front is a breakable crate hiding another Gold Skulltulla. There's one on the left as well, it's above the exit to the hole. Now, step on the crates directly to the left of the entrance, and look up and to the right, you'll see a Hookshot target. Use it, and smash the pot in the middle for the final Gold Skulltulla. If it's still the first day, go to the first room and there'll be a guy there, talk to him, and he'll give you the Giant's Wallet. If it isn't the first day, you get stupid worthless prizes.
